Family Support Services
At Foster Love Ministries, our commitment to foster families and children extends beyond just placement. We understand the complexities and challenges that come with foster care, which is why we offer a comprehensive range of support services. Our Family Support program provides services for local families referred by the Department of Family Services, Georgia Superior Court, and local attorneys, including supervised visitation, therapeutic, and transportation services. Through these programs, we foster stronger family relationships, assisting families in becoming stronger and more resilient.
Visitation Services
We facilitate supervised visitations in a safe and nurturing environment, allowing families to maintain connections while ensuring the safety and welfare of the children involved. Our trained staff members oversee these visitations, providing support and guidance as needed.
Counseling & Therapy
We recognize the importance of mental health and emotional support for both children and families navigating the foster care system. That's why we offer access to counseling and therapy services tailored to the unique needs of each individual or family. Whether it's addressing trauma, coping with transitions, or building stronger family bonds, our licensed professionals are here to provide compassionate guidance and support.
Resource Referrals
In addition to our in-house services, we also provide referrals to external resources and support networks within the community. From educational assistance to financial aid, we connect families with the resources they need to thrive.
Training and Education
Empowerment through knowledge is a core value at Foster Love Ministries. We offer training and educational workshops designed to equip foster parents with the tools and skills they need to provide the best possible care for the children in their homes. Topics may include trauma-informed care, behavior management techniques, and navigating the foster care system.
Emergency Assistance
We understand that unexpected challenges can arise, which is why we provide emergency assistance to children in crisis situations, in collaboration wit our partnering agencies. Whether it's providing temporary housing or oversight, or essential supplies, our goal is to ensure that children have the resources they need to overcome obstacles and maintain stability.
