Our Story

Foster Love Ministries traces its origins back to February 2020 when we opened our doors as the rest of the world was closing theirs. As current foster parents, we were astounded to see that there weren’t enough local homes to care for children in the Golden Isles region. When families are separated by greater distances, they become less likely to reunite. We were bolstered by the support of a local church, which allowed us to begin recruiting families to care for children in the Golden Isles area. Our first foster homes opened in the fall of 2020. In addition to creating a safe landing place for local children and families to rebuild, we also began providing support services for families involved in the foster care system. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a journey dedicated to supporting families in need within the Golden Isles Region.

The ministry's expansion continued in May 2022 when several attorneys serving the Georgia Superior Court, Brunswick Judicial Circuit, reached out to Foster Love. They sought the organization's assistance in providing family support services for non-custodial parents. Responding to this call, Foster Love extended its program hours and bolstered its staff to accommodate these additional services.

Originally established to serve families referred primarily through the Division of Family & Children’s Services, Superior Court, or through self-referral for private pay services, Foster Love Ministries has since evolved into a beacon of hope for countless families in the community. With a focus on fostering love and building families, the organization has demonstrated unwavering dedication to its mission of providing support, guidance, and care to those navigating the complexities of the foster care and judicial systems.

From its humble beginnings to its present-day impact, Foster Love Ministries remains committed to its founding principles of compassion, empowerment, and transformation.
